Ruth

Eighty one she speaks her pain
to a distant human being
not a healer at all her fear
bounces around the room of doubt
and Ruth's blood pressure goes
skyward as her body collapses
now she lies in a bed in hospital
her left feminine side resigned
as her heart squeezes in agony
