Love
Watch me dance my spirit awake as the drum beats Lakota songs
great mystery I enter your sacred space in my blue blue blue dress
with fringes of white satin sewn onto the edge of my pure white apron
dancing yes I am dancing my spirit awake you can watch my love
or maybe you will dance too and I will watch your body burn burn
we will never fry for we have natural tone you and me we are from
the star nation sent her to earth to dance dance the sun dance the moon
buffalo skulls chanupa holy smoke sage sweet grass and the memory
of Grandpa at the edge in his finest regalia God he looks magnificent
white eagle feather dancing in the breeze of his thinning wisps of hair
All the men in their long red skirts mandalas hung from their the chests
we are moving into the world of great spirit and the drum is the beat
collective beat of the heart yes buffalo spirit I love you I love the earth
white buffalo calf pipe woman come come from the hills to us again
Jesus stepping out of the afternoon sun humming bird crow and little
bird come we create the dance by what we want the universe to unfold
yes yes unfolding yourself beyond any doubt and dance and sing yes
dance see your colors and dance dance you spirit awake in four direction
white north yellow east red south and black into the west to dream to be
pure unadulterated one dance dance dance love I will dance for you and
you for me and we will dance and bleed for the suffering of all here
bruised and battered killed and mined and maimed and refugees

Phil Carson
Goodbye......................................You
left like the morning star and there was never a moment to say goodbye
for you were busy dying and dedicated you unfolded into a shell that was
not you, for you were big and burly .I called you my grizzly bear brother
and kept a respectful distance.
Now you are a memory a memory of moments beautiful precious moments and my poem for you stands forever.
